Fenelon Falls and Area
Attractions & Events
Remembrance Day ceremonies in Fenelon Falls begin on the evening of November 10th, with a candlelight procession from the locks to the Cenotaph. Candles are carried in remembrance of those who served or are serving in the Canadian military. Most candles bear an inscription to a specific soldier, though people can also pay tribute to the Unknown Soldier, or a write a tribute message of their choice.

850 candles were placed on the cenotaph on November 10, 2008.

"Cadets from the Hastings and Prince Edward Regiment Cadets stand guard throughout the night, ensuring the candles and memories they represent will never be alone. 'People come out at three in the morning to pay their respects', said Arlene Coleman, of the Royal Canadian Legion" *
