In conjunction with the charting of an 1841 sampler made by Maria Hockin of Solina, Durham County, the Fenelon Falls Museum offers half-day counted cross-stitch workshops. Ietje Jackovich, a professional needlework instructor, teaches the techniques necessary to replicate the original sampler. Kits and charts are also available for purchase at the museum. New in 2006 is the charting of the Werry sampler
The Fenelon Falls Museum frequently features its 1868 Chickering square grand piano, which was the first piano in the village of Fenelon Falls, in its special events. Sunday afternoon concerts and Wednesday afternoon teas feature such notable performers as Barbara Dunn-Prosser, Don Deathe, Marilyn Stroud, Catharin Carew, Tim Crouch, Mary Pearson, the Carl Beck Trio, and the Great Canadian Ragtime Society.

Take a sentimental journey with ALLISON KREMER in a fun-filled hour of popular songs from WWI and WWII, including such favourites as "This is The Army, Mr. Jones", "White Cliffs of Dover", "Harbour Lights", "Don't Sit Under The Apple Tree", "Roll Out The Barrel", and many more! Proceeds from admission to the Fenelon Falls Museum.

Sunday afternoons, July to Labour Day
Visit the museum select Sunday afternoons at 2 p.m. from July to Labour Day to enjoy musical performances by local artists. Vocal or instrumental acoustical performances reflect the variety of musical styles that have touched Fenelon Falls: ragtime, chamber, parlour, music hall, dance, show, choral, and more. Light refreshments; weather permitting.
One Room School
Children are invited to attend school in the manner of early Ontario on mornings in July and August (dates to be announced - call 705-887-1044 for details). Authentic one-room school classes are held in a period school setting. Lessons and games are enjoyed by all. Costumes encouraged. Ages 7 to 12. Limited space, pre-registration required. Only $5.00 per class.
