Bobcaygeon Internet Users Group

Minutes of the Meeting of September14, 2000

Garth Scarborough called the meeting to order, and welcomed the newcomers.
Minutes of August 14 were reviewed on-line.
Financial statement as of August 23 was read.
Garth suggested that, now that Nexicom is providing us with a laptop, we reconsider the goal for our "coffee fund", and invited suggestions for community projects. His suggestion was to set up an on-line archive of local historic photographs.

"'Round the Table"

Our monthly tour: Members discussed what they have been doing on the internet, as Garth brought up some of these recommended sites on the overhead projector.
  1. Niesje & Joe Groenendyk: are keeping in touch with relatives in the Netherlands via email. They mentioned the government Atlas program (Note: Sorry, I didn't get the URL. Does anyone have it? - AP)

  4. Larry Muter: www.eboard.com
  5. Jarvis Wedley: greeting cards at www.bluemountain.com
  6. Al Wright:
  7. Garth Scarborough:
  8. Anne Panter: Freelane, a free Internet Service Provider, at www.excite.com
