Your Library is no longer simply shelves of books. The growing demand for learning, fact finding and entertainment has produced numerous innovations and services.

BACK ISSUES OF THE BOBCAYGEON INDEPENDENT...are being processed on microfiche. With the Library's microfiche viewing machine, you'll be able to read stories published in the Independent as far back as the first issue in 1869.

8MM and 16MM HOME MOVIE PROJECTORS, along with the screen, films can be borrowed. Besides home movies, there are scores of instructional film covering sports, hobbies, marine biology, psychology, travel and endless other subjects. Family movies are also available.

TALKING BOOKS TOO... especially for people with poor vision or whose eyes tire quickly. Fiction and non-fiction, often read by actors who make stories more exciting. Play-back machines may be borrowed.

INTER-LIBRARY LOAN SERVICE...if the book you want is not in our collection talk to the librarian. She may be able too locate a copy through out inter-library loan service.

WIDE SELECTION OF LARGE TYPE BOOKS...The number of titles grows monthly. Big black print makes reading easier. Less tiring on eyes. Fiction and nonfiction by successful authors.

VIDEO CASSETTES AVAILABLE... an interesting variety of educational subjects such as psychology, biology, as well as those covering theatre, the arts and allied subjects. Relax, listen and learn.

LOCAL FAMILY HISTORIES... Besides many books on local history of the area, there are dozens of family histories of folks who have lived here for years. There are manuscripts, letters and taped interviews. Fascinating for their descendants and for researchers.

VERTICAL FILE OF CLIPPINGS... This is an up-to-date collection of recent stories and articles clipped from a number of current newspapers and magazines.

REFERENCE WORKS FOR LOOKER-UPPERS... This is the first place to come when seeking factual information. Here you can find foreign dictionaries, where our native people came from, what products Brazil imports or other quickly needed facts. Encyclopedias and other reference works are on hand.

RETIREMENT HOME DELIVERY SERVICES... seniors in special care homes may call the Librarian and have reading material delivered and picked up later.

BOOKS THAT TALK TO YOUNG ONES... Talking books at several language levels are available. An excellent way to introduce young folk to the fascinating world of books. Plenty of regualr books for children who prefer to read.

SUMMER READING CLUB... for children. Storytime, films, "Guess how many jellybeans" contest, lucky draws and a party at the end of the summer.

WHERE STUDENTS CAN FIND ANSWERS... besides the regular books on shelves, many reference books that students will find most useful are available. There are bound back issues of National Geographic Magazine, Encyclopedia Brittanica and among other reference works, a Youth Encyclopedia to help with studies and research... Special assistance is available on research projects.
