Murphy Barn

The property on which Kawartha Settlers' Village now stands was once a prosperous dairy farm (1900 - 1938). The farm was owned and operated by Gerald Murphy (1863 - 1938). Hay was stored in the upper level of the barn and the cattlewere housed in the stone basement. At present Murphy Barn is used to display the Villages large collection of farm equipment, tools and household items. It is home to a large beef ring and dog treddle to name a few.
