PopTray Demo

  1. Why am I showing you this?
eg. Today I had 15 messages. 10 were garbage (spam). One was >700k. I deleted the garbage, and checked the big one to see if it was worth downloading. It wasn't, so I deleted it too.

  2. Alternative ways to check your email:
    1. Your email program (Netscape, Outlook Express,...)
      • You can set up your email program to get email for several accounts from several servers.
      • This brings all of each email message onto your computer (attachments too). This can take time, and can be dangerous if the attachment has a virus.
    2. Webmail (or other online email. eg. Hotmail, Yahoo,...)
      • You can check your mail on the server, and delete spam and large items
      • Not all ISP's offer this service
      • For multiple accounts requires logging in to each service (time consuming)
    3. Remote mail programme (eg. PopTray)
      • logs in to all your accounts, downloads just the headers
      • fast & easy
