Bobcaygeon Curling Club

Curling is Fun!

Are you in the Bobcaygeon area and looking for a new activity to enjoy during the winter? …..then join us at the Bobcaygeon Curling Club.

Curling is a sport of skill and strategy. But it is also a very social, team sport, allowing you the opportunity to make many new friends.

Think you can’t get down and slide like they do on TV? Then try the new stick delivery and still be a full participating member of a team.

The curling season itself starts mid-October and runs to the end of March with instruction, league play of all types, in-club and open bonspiels (competitions), and social events.

The first social event of the season is a scramble golf tournament in early September at one of the local nine-hole courses, followed by supper at the club. Not a golfer? ....no problem. Join us anyway for the fun.

Mission of the Bobcaygeon Curling Club

The Bobcaygeon Curling Club is a private club whose aim is to provide an opportunity for recreation, sportsmanship and socializing for all ages – six-years-old to senior.

About the Club

The Bobcaygeon Curling Club dates back to 1884. It has a long history of good curling, hospitality, and a high level of club activity within the Bobcaygeon community. The present clubhouse was built in the late 1970's and provides an excellent facility for its 325 members.

  • Ice – The club has four sheets of Jet Ice and our ice conditions are exceptional. Heaters keep the play conditions cool but comfortable.

  • Leagues – There are many leagues to choose from – ladies’, men’s, and mixed, as well as very active senior curling – morning, afternoon and evening. In addition, the club prides itself in promoting curling with the youth in the community through Little Rocker and Junior Programs, as well as a Public School program.

  • Fees – Our annual fees are kept low because the club is volunteer-run with the exception of our excellent icemaker. This allows all members to participate in the operation of the club and greatly enhances its social nature. There is no restriction on the number of games you may play in a week as a full member.

Reduced fees are available for new full members as well as special memberships for Ladies’ Monday Night only and Men’s Tuesday Night only.
